LASH STORIES
"The cleaner you keep them, the longer they last"
AFTER-CARE
New solution allows you to get your lashes wet after the application. However, avoid extreme heat, and steam such as hot yoga or hot sauna for the first 24 hours.
Gently clean and brush your lashes daily with a water-based cleanser. Residue on the base of the extensions will cause bad retention and may lead to an eye infection.
Avoid oil-based skincare/makeup products around your eyes area. Be careful when using oil-based products on your face/hair. Oil may break down the bond of the glue and make your extensions fall out faster.
Please do NOT rub or pull the extensions.
NO waterproof mascara, liquid liners, gel liners. If wearing eyeliner/mascara, we recommend using the special products for extensions.
Sleep on your back/side – do not rub your face onto the pillow.
DO NOT tint or curl the extensions.
WHY YOU NEED A REFILL
Eyelash extensions require maintenance and with that, you absolutely need a refill every 2 weeks or at least no more than 4 weeks. A refill is removing overgrown extensions and adding new extensions onto new lash growth. If you don’t do proper maintenance, your natural lashes can be affected dramatically.
On average, everyone has about 80-150 natural lash per eye. While a full set of lash extensions could be about 60-120 lash extensions applied to each eye, a refill will be about 30-60 applied to each eye.
You need refills because:
As any kind of hair on over your body, lash has its own cycle. Typically natural lashes grow and shed over a period of 2-3 months. Keep in mind that everyone has a different growth cycle: some may grow more quickly than others. As the lashes grow and fall out, the extensions come out too. Let's count, naturally we lose about 3-5 lashes a day. This means in 2-4 weeks, we lose more than 42 lashes!
Overtime, the adhesion on your extensions will weaken due to oil/dust buildup on your lashes and lash growth, so to keep your natural lashes healthy and your extensions looking good, you need refills. Otherwise, if you leave them on too long the extensions can grow out and break your natural lashes!
LASH SHEDDING
Lash shedding refers to the increased lash loss that some people experience during the change of seasons. For instance, the warm summer weather can cause people to sweat and produce more oil, affecting lash retention. Similarly, the low humidity levels of winter weather can dry out the skin and cause lashes to fall out easier. In a typical cycle, eyelashes grow, shed and replace themselves every six to 10 weeks. However, during the Spring and Fall, this can increase dramatically in response to temperature changes.
For most people - especially those who don't have eyelash extensions - the lash shedding season goes unnoticed. This is because natural lashes are often much finer than lash extensions, so we're less likely to notice them laying around when they shed. Lash extensions tend to be easier to spot when they shed, which can be alarming for people who are not familiar with their natural lash cycle.
When our natural lashes are shed, any extensions attached to them fall out too. How many lashes are shed varies from person to person, with each individual eyelash following a different growth and fallout cycle. Put simply, eyelash extensions are along for the seasonal ride.
Lash shedding season is normal, and there is no known product on the market right now that stops the natural growth and loss cycle.
